I often times here the phrase "I love your bath bombs, but I don't take baths." For me is has always been the place I get to escape. The place where I get to soak away the day to day stresses and just get in some good self-care time. I call it my Mommy Time Out. I put myself there when I need some peace, calmness and destressing to take place. Lately that seems every night, am I right?
Why is it important you ask. It encourages you to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself so that you can transmit the good feelings to others. You cannot give to others what you don't have yourself. While some may misconstrue self-care as selfish, it's far from that. You are doing yourself and your family the best thing possible.
Decompress from the day
Create a spa right in your own home. Schedule bath time as something you look forward to. Run a warm bath, and drop in your favorite bath bomb or bath salts to help relax even more. Dim the lights, turn on some soft music and pour yourself a glass of wine. You deserve it! Let your body and mind unwind and enjoy the quiet time.
Take a Steam in the Shower
Don't have time for a bath? Turning your shower into a aromatherapy steam shower can be just the answer. Hang your favorite steamer and breath in, as the stress melts away. Steam showers can help: Improve Circulation, Stiffness and Joint Pain, Skin Care, Detoxification, Fighting of Colds, and Stress Management. These are just a few of the many benefits it can have on your well being.
So the next time you are needing a little me time, create your own spa oasis to feel rejuvenated and ready to take on another day.
